1. Laboratory Accreditations & Standards
Every clinical sample collected by Thyrocare Services is processed within the fully automated network laboratories of Thyrocare Technologies Limited, operating under India's most rigorous regulatory accreditations:
- NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories): Compliant with ISO 15189 standards for laboratory competence.
- CAP (College of American Pathologists): Certified under the gold standard laboratory accreditation program globally.
- ISO 9001:2015: Certified quality management systems across operations.
- NGSP (National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program): Standardized certification for HbA1c diabetic blood testing accuracy.
2. Sample Collection & Cold-Chain Logistics
To prevent pre-analytical errors, our trained phlebotomists adhere to strict safety protocols:
- Barcoded Sample Vials: All tubes are barcoded at the time of draw to prevent manual sorting errors or sample mixing.
- Vacuum Sealed Draw: We use single-use BD Vacutainer tubes to maintain sterile, vacuum-sealed sample storage.
- Cold Chain shipping: Samples are transported in temperature-regulated cold shipping carriers to prevent specimen degradation.
3. Automation and Internal Quality Audits
Once in the laboratory, samples undergo automated processing without manual intervention, guided by high-throughput analysers. Daily internal quality audits are run using third-party controls to check instrument precision. External quality assurance programs (EQAS) are conducted periodically to verify absolute accuracy.
